About Bedouin Soundclash
Bedouin Soundclash is a genre-defying Canadian band from Toronto, celebrated for their innovative fusion of reggae, ska, rock, punk, and soul that has earned them a dedicated international following since forming in 2001. Fronted by charismatic vocalist and guitarist Jay Malinowski, with longtime bassist Eon Sinclair anchoring the rhythm section and supported by a rotating cast of talented musicians including drummers Pat Pengelly and Sekou Lumumba, the band creates infectious, boundary-pushing music that blends heavy rhythms, melodic hooks, and socially conscious lyrics with a distinctly Canadian perspective. Their breakthrough 2004 album Sounding a Mosaic spawned the massive hit “When the Night Feels My Song,” while subsequent releases like Street Gospels, Light the Horizon, MASS, and the 2022 album We Will Meet in a Hurricane have showcased their continued evolution and creative risk-taking. With multiple JUNO nominations and a reputation for electrifying live performances, Bedouin Soundclash continues to tour extensively, delivering high-energy shows that celebrate unity, resilience, and the power of music to bring people together across cultures and generations.
