About Bill Durst
Bill Durst is a legendary Canadian blues-rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter with a career spanning more than five decades. A founding member of the influential 1970s rock band Thundermug, Durst has been a fixture on the Canadian music scene since the early 1970s, earning a reputation as one of the country’s most exciting and entertaining guitarists. Based in Stratford, Ontario, he has released numerous solo albums since 1983, including Good Good Lovin’, Hard and Heavy, The Great Willy Mammoth, and Bill Durst Live, showcasing his soulful vocals, fiery guitar playing, and a catalog of over 125 original songs that blend classic blues, roots rock, and hard-hitting rhythms. With seven charted Canadian radio hits to his name, Durst is known for his high-energy live performances, engaging stage presence, and ability to deliver both raw power and emotional depth.
