About Freedom Train
Freedom Train is a Canadian power trio from Hamilton, Ontario, formed in 1989 by brothers Carl and Tim Jennings alongside guitarist Ed Mitchell. Renowned for their high-energy live performances, the band specializes in classic rock, R&B, funk, and original music. They emphasize authenticity on stage, performing without backing tracks or auto-tune, which has become a hallmark of their shows. Over the years, Freedom Train has built a strong following across Canada and the U.S., performing at clubs, casinos, festivals, and corporate events. Carl Jennings leads with vocals and bass, showcasing a four-octave range, while Tim Jennings handles drums and backing vocals, and Ed Mitchell delivers on guitar.
