About J.P. Cormier
J.P. Cormier is a Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist celebrated for his mastery of bluegrass, folk, and Celtic music. Born John Paul Cormier in 1969 in London, Ontario, he began playing guitar at the age of five and has since become a highly versatile musician, excelling on guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and more. Over his career, he has released more than a dozen albums, including Another Morning (1997), The Long River: A Personal Tribute to Gordon Lightfoot (2005), and Two (2017), which showcase his skills as both a performer and composer. Cormier's artistry has earned him thirteen East Coast Music Awards and a Canadian Folk Music Award, underscoring his influence on Canadian roots music.
