East Coaster Studios presents  an Award-winning bilingual Nova Scotia artist, blending heartfelt folk/pop songs that linger long after the music fades! I'm excited to be bringing Kristen Martel to North Bay for the first time!  To make things even better we have North Bay's own North Country Towers (Caleb Smith) performing an opening set of tunes.

Kristen Martell is an award winning bilingual singer-songwriter from Nova Scotia whose music transcends boundaries and connects deeply with her audience. Known for her feathery, soothing vocals and heartfelt lyrics, Kristen weaves together intimate and moving songs that linger long after the music fades. After two successful English studio albums, numerous award nominations and accolades,  Kristen returns with a new chapter—an enchanting French album that pays tribute to her Acadian roots (March 28, 2025).  With an edgier pop sensibility, the 2025 Music Nova Scotia ‘Prix de L’Acadie’ winning album bridges cultures and moods, offering a unique musical experience that is both reflective and vibrant.Through delicate ballads and emotional storytelling, she invites listeners into a world where cultures blend, and emotions flow freely.

Connue pour sa voix douce et apaisante et ses paroles sincères, Kristen tisse des chansons intimes et émouvantes qui persistent longtemps après que la musique s’estompe. Après deux albums studio anglais à succès, de nombreuses nominations et distinctions, Kristen revient avec un nouveau chapitre : un album français envoûtant qui rend hommage à ses racines acadiennes (28 mars, 2025).  Avec une sensibilité pop plus avant-gardiste, l’album fait le lien entre les cultures et les humeurs, offrant une expérience musicale unique, à la fois réfléchie et vibrante. North Country Towers (Caleb Smith) is a Canadian songwriter and music producer who combines his folk, pop and country influences with his high level of training as a classical bass player (McGill) and music producer (Berklee College of Music) to create songs strongly influenced by his love of Northern Ontario. He has lived and performed in many places since he released his first EP (north country towers 2012) and his debut album (Along the Way 2014) in Montreal. When the world shut down in 2020, Caleb moved back to North Bay where he is dedicated to supporting the local community of musicians. Throughout 2026, he will be releasing new music which showcases his abilities on multiple instruments as well as the talents of those he has worked with through the years.
