We Lend a Hand: The Forgotten Story of the Ontario Farmerettes is a powerful documentary that uncovers the remarkable story of the 40,000 teenage girls who volunteered on Ontario farms during and after WWII, helping sustain vital food production during one of history's most challenging times. Through archival images, reenactments, and firsthand accounts, the film celebrates the resilience, determination, and lasting legacy of these extraordinary young women.
Choose from two film screenings at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., each followed by a Q&A session. Throughout the day, browse a special vendor market featuring local female farmers and artisans, celebrating the women who continue to shape and strengthen our communities. Join us for a meaningful day of history, inspiration, and connection.
