Welcome everyone to our Capital Pride Celebration Event! We're doing a bit of a store takeover, so there will be LGBTQIA2S+ author events running from 11am until 2pm. There will be a fun storytime for kids and mini readings and Q&As with authors who write YA and adult fiction within a range of genres! We'll also have some Pride-themed crafts available that are suitable for kids and adults alike.
While the author and reading portions aren't ticketed, we do ask that you purchase a ticket for participation in the crafts so we can ensure we have enough chairs and supplies!
Our amazing authors for this event include:
Chris Paul Farias, author of children's book Guinea Pigs Don't Wear Pants. Chris will be doing a storytime and mini-talk in our kids department!
Jen Desmarais, author of the YA series Lucky in Love, beginning with the STEM love story Crushing It. Jen is also the author of the adult polyamory romance series beginning with I Got You
Heather Chambers, author of You Would Have Done it Too, a suspenseful college fiction where a gay man's bullies start dropping like flies - but he didn't do it!
R.M. Neill, author of the gay Western romance series Kissing Ridge, including Cowboys Can't Kiss, Bull Riders Don't Swoon, Bronc Riders Don't Fall in Love, and Ropers Can't Tie Knots.
Ruby Barrett, author of the romance books Romance Recipe and Match Faker
