Cottage Country Concerts has partnered with the Old Town Hall to bring the extraordinary Julian Taylor to Waterford for a special Sunday afternoon concert.
A multiple JUNO Award nominee whose work has also been recognized by the Polaris Music Prize and the Canadian Folk Music Awards, Julian Taylor has built a remarkable career as a songwriter, recording artist and performer.
But accolades only tell part of the story.
At heart, Julian is a storyteller. His music moves through folk, roots, soul, Americana and Canadiana, carried by an unmistakable voice and songs that are thoughtful, generous, deeply human — and sometimes quietly devastating.
Opening the afternoon is Evan Rotella — the voice of Gen Z delivered through the heart of an old soul.
Described as offering “pithy, thought-provoking folk” and as “one to watch,” Evan is a natural fit for this bill: a young songwriter with something to say, grounded in the timeless art of a good song and a good story.
Two generations of Canadian songwriters. An intimate audience gathered for the love of music in a room made for listening.
