Welcome to the Indigo Kanata Book Club! We're so excited to meet all of you and have some fun, enlightening discussions about books.
This novella from Canadian fantasy author Fonda Lee is small but mighty! You'll join Ester, whose family was almost entirely wiped out by manticores years before and has made it her life's purpose to hunt down and kill all of the monsters. To do this, she must forge a bond with a roc - a winged beast that has been captured from the wild and trained to obey its keepers. This is a story about taming what is wild, about loving those who cannot and will not love us back, about defining your life based on one single purpose. We hope you'll enjoy!
Signing up for a ticket will guarantee you a spot in our Book Club discussion on Friday November 20th and will get you 20% off the current pick when you show your ticket to a cashier at our store!
Note: this will be our last Book Club of the year, but don't worry - we'll be back in January 2027!
