NEW Rising

Event Details

Event type: All Ages

On Saturday, January 9th, 2027, New Evolution Wrestling is looking to make history once again as we proudly introduce NEW RISING!

For the first time in Newfoundland professional wrestling history, an event will be dedicated primarily to showcasing the next generation of professional wrestlers!

This isn't just another wrestling show. This is something completely different for the Newfoundland wrestling scene.

NEW Rising is the beginning of a brand-new developmental system designed to build the future of New Evolution Wrestling!

For years, upcoming wrestlers in Newfoundland have had to fight for opportunities to get noticed, often finding themselves sharing cards with established veterans who have already made names for themselves.

We're looking to change that.

NEW Rising will put the spotlight directly on the rookies, newcomers, and developing talent who are working hard to earn their place in this industry.

These are competitors with three years or less of experience who are still learning, improving, and finding their identities inside the squared circle.

And now, they're getting a platform of their own!

But this developmental system is about much more than simply giving younger talent matches.

It's about giving them the opportunity to grow, gain experience in front of a live audience, develop their characters, build confidence, tell stories, and prepare themselves for the bigger stages that New Evolution Wrestling has to offer.

We're not just putting on another wrestling event. We're investing in the future of professional wrestling in Newfoundland.

Each NEW Rising event will feature a select number of established NEW stars, allowing these developing competitors to work alongside experienced talent and learn what it takes to compete at the next level.

And don't think for a second that championship opportunities are out of the question!

Just because someone is new doesn't mean they can't make an impact. Every established star was once a rookie, and every champion had to start somewhere.

Who knows? The next NEW Heavyweight Champion could be making their name right before your eyes!

For over a decade, New Evolution Wrestling has continued to push the boundaries of what professional wrestling can be in Newfoundland.

Now, we're taking another step forward by creating something that we believe can help shape the industry for years to come.

This is more than a show. This is a developmental system. A place to learn. A place to improve. A place to prove yourself.

And most importantly, a place where the future stars of Newfoundland wrestling can begin building their legacies!

We invite you to come out, support these young competitors, and be part of something new.

Because the stars you'll be watching on January 9th could very well be the same stars headlining SummerCade in the years ahead!
