HOW I ACCIDENTALLY TRAUMATIZED MILLIONS OF CHILDREN: Jamie Shannon explains himself
December 9 -13, 2026
Award-winning puppeteer Jamie Shannon, co-creator of Nanalan’ and Mr. Meaty, has spent 30 years creating some of television’s strangest and most beloved characters — delighting children, terrifying them, sometimes both. Mixing live puppetry, comedy, video and brutally honest storytelling, Jamie takes you from his suburban childhood to cult TV, terrifying PSAs, Mr. Meaty, Nanalan’ and a career devoted to making impossible creatures feel alive. A funny, weird and surprisingly heartfelt show about childhood, imagination, fear — and why puppets might just save us.
Come for the trauma and laughs. Stay for the antidote.
