About Sadleir House
Located at 751 George Street North, Sadleir House (officially the P.R. Community and Student Association) is a beloved non-profit community centre that serves as a vibrant hub for arts, culture, and student life in Peterborough. Housed in a historic Queen Anne-style mansion built in 1892, Sadleir House blends heritage charm with grassroots energy, offering accessible spaces for concerts, meetings, rehearsals, study, and activism. The venue is a key gathering place for both Trent University students and the broader Peterborough community. On any given day, you might find a rock show in the John Hall, a Dungeons & Dragons session upstairs, or a grassroots group organizing in the boardroom. It also plays host to the Trent Film Society, yoga classes, small theatre performances, and local art collectives. Room rentals are discounted for not-for-profit groups, and its cozy, eclectic decor makes it a favourite for studying, collaborating, and creating. Sadleir House is committed to affordability, accessibility, and inclusion, and is currently undergoing renovations to enhance washroom accessibility.
