About Dungannon Fairgrounds
The Dungannon Fairgrounds is a rural event venue located at 36897 Dungannon Road in the village of Dungannon within the Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, just outside Lucknow in Huron County, Ontario. Operated by the Dungannon Agricultural Society, the fairgrounds serve as a central hub for large-scale community events, agricultural programming, and motorsport attractions throughout the year. The site features an outdoor track and show ring, grandstand seating, open grounds for midway-style setups, and the Dungannon Agricultural Hall, a multi-use indoor facility used for meetings, exhibits, and rentals. Its marquee annual events include the Dungannon Pro Rodeo, which draws thousands for professional bull riding, barrel racing, and bronc events, as well as the Dungannon Super Pull and Demo Derby, a two-day truck and tractor pull attracting competitors and spectators from across Ontario. Known for its distinctly rural atmosphere, family-focused programming, and large summer crowds, the fairgrounds remain a longstanding pillar of agricultural tradition and community celebration in southwestern Ontario.
