About Kind Space
Kind Space is a community centre and registered charity based in Ottawa that supports and celebrates 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals through inclusive programming, educational initiatives, peer support, and community outreach. Established in 1984, the organization is recognized as one of Canada's oldest registered LGBTQ+ charities and has become an important resource for people seeking connection, advocacy, and safe community spaces within the National Capital Region. Kind Space offers a variety of programs including peer-led discussion groups, social gatherings, workshops, wellness initiatives, and support services designed to foster inclusion and mental well-being. Located on Cooper Street in downtown Ottawa, the centre also provides accessible community resources and hosts events that encourage visibility, education, and engagement across diverse gender identities and sexual orientations.
