Experience the magical, musical collaboration of three award-winning Canadian singer-songwriters: Tannis Slimmon, Katherine Wheatley, and Angie Nussey as the multi-talented trio, Boreal. Their annual celebration of wintertime classics and originals, Songs for the Snowy Season, is a beloved favourite where families and friends gather. Experience the warmth of the winter season through heartwarming melodies, spellbinding harmonies, and the honesty of storytelling through song. From beautiful and delicate to powerful and uplifting, their stunning harmonies, dynamic musical arrangements, and masterful songwriting create a magical, deeply moving experience that leaves audiences spellbound. “I’m rarely speechless… that was so moving — oh, my heavens! Unbelievably beautiful!” – Rob Dutton, The Grand 101.1 FM
Their latest album, Winterbirds (March 2025), earned Boreal three Canadian Folk Music Awards nominations - Album of the Year, Ensemble of the Year, and Vocal Group of the Year. As David Francey said, “I was transported. They are a rare and wonderful band.”
