Kempt Shore Ocean View Campground is a scenic 20 acre property, located in the beautiful Kempt Shore of Hants County, Nova Scotia. Open June 1st to Sept 30th, it boasts over 800ft of beach frontage, overlooking the Minas Basin. It is proudly home to the Acoustic Maritime Music Festival, a four day event, held annually on the third weekend in July. This one of a kind festival specifically showcases an eclectic variety of world class Canadian original singer/songwriters. There is a key focus on Maritime talent as acoustically as a festival can possibly be.
Festival opens Thursday afternoon with Marc’s Jam and open mic with Mike Milne and continues to around 5 pm Sunday.
Tie-Dye Saturday is back, get in the groove, the Faheys and their tie-dye concession will be on site all weekend, along with School House Brewery and Lilly Pond Designs, (jewellery and leather crafts) plus more to be announced. Food concession by Walker's and Sarah's Sweet Shop.
Come and showcase your talent at the two on stage open mic sessions. There will also be Artist hosted Theme workshops. Field jam sessions are usually non-stop. Fans not only come for the music but also enjoy the 800 ft of beach and fishing for striped bass which are usually running at this time. Don't forget to take a dip at the quarry
